"The sword and the flower live in the same hand."
The sword represents power, justice, and the ability to fight when necessary.
The flower stands for gentleness, emotion, and the fragile beauty of life like the cherry blossom (sakura), which blooms briefly before falling.
A true martial artist is not one who merely learns to fight, but one who has the power to destroy, yet chooses to protect. Someone who holds both the sword and the flower – with strength, but also with heart.
Even in the modern world:
A martial artist without the flower becomes only a fighter.
But one who embraces both becomes truly balanced.
