Tortoise winning through patience and persistence

One day, the hare and the tortoise argued about who was faster. The hare laughed: "You want to race me? I’m ten times faster than you!" The tortoise stayed calm and said: "We’ll see. Let’s have a race." All the animals of the forest came to watch. The race began. The hare shot off like lightning and left the tortoise far behind. "What a joke," he thought. "I can take a nap." He lay down in the grass and fell a sleep. The tortoise, however, kept crawling steadily on, step by step. When the hare finally woke up, he ran as fast as he could but it was too late: the tortoise had already crossed the finish line. All the animals cheered: "Slow but steady wins the race!"

Slow but steady wins the race!

Food for thought
Ask yourself: Do I rely on speed and arrogance or do I keep going, step by step, until I reach my goal? Am I patient and consistent enough to achieve my goals, even if others seem faster?
