The Thirsty Crow

On a hot day, a thirsty crow flew across the fields in search of water. For a long time, he found nothing and began to feel very weak. He was about to give up when he suddenly spotted a water jug under a tree. He flew down quickly to check, and yes there was water inside! But the water was too low, and he couldn’t reach it.He tried to push his head inside, but the neck of the jug was too narrow. Then he tried to tip the jug over, but it was too heavy. The crow paused, looked around, and saw some small stones nearby. Suddenly, he had a clever idea. He began picking up the stones one by one and dropping them into the jug. As more stones filled the jug, the water level rose. Eventually, the water was high enough for the crow to drink. His clever plan had worked!
