Luna’s Boundaries

Luna was a cheerful girl who loved playing with her friends, laughing, and going on adventures. One day, something happened that made her feel very uncomfortable. Luna was at the playground when an older boy named Tom asked her to go with him to a quiet spot to talk. He said he had something important to tell her. Luna felt uneasy, but she didn’t want to seem rude, so she went with him.Once they were alone, Tom started touching her without warning. Luna felt bad and uncomfortable. But then she remembered what her mom always told her:

“If someone does something you don’t like, you’re always allowed to say ‘no’ and walk away.” Luna stood up and said firmly: “Stop! I don’t want this.”

Tom looked surprised, but Luna immediately ran to her teacher and told them what had happened. The teacher listened to Luna and made sure Tom understood that his behavior was not okay. The adults supported Luna and helped her feel safe again. Luna learned that it’s always okay to stand up for yourself, even if someone else doesn’t expect it. She realized that her body belonged to her, and no one had the right to touch her without her permission.

Food for thought

Your body is yours always. You don’t owe anyone your silence, comfort, or permission. When something doesn’t feel right, speak up. Courage means protecting your peace, even when it’s hard.
