The Hare and the Tortoise

One day, the hare and the tortoise argued about who was faster. The hare laughed: "You want to race me? I’m ten times faster than you!" The tortoise stayed calm and said: "We’ll see. Let’s have a race."All the animals of the forest came to watch. The race began.

The hare shot off like lightning and left the tortoise far behind. "What a joke," he thought. "I can take a nap." He lay down in the grass and fellasleep. The tortoise, however, kept crawling steadily on, step by step. When the hare finally woke up, he ran as fast as he could but it was too late: the tortoise had already crossed the finish line. All the animals cheered: "Slow but steady wins the race!"

Food for thought

Ask yourself: Do I rely on speed and arrogance or do I keep going, step by step, until I reach my goal?Am I patient and consistent enough to achieve my goals, even if others seem faster?
