The Colorful Butterfly
Once upon a time, there was a butterfly born with many different colors on its wings.Its colors were unlike those of the other butterflies. Instead of having just one color, it had a beautiful mix of blue, green, yellow, and even a little red. The other butterflies in the forest thought that was strange."Why does he look so different?" they asked. "Why isn’t he just like us?"They began to laugh at him and keep their distance. "You don’t belong with us," one butterfly said. "You don’t have a single color like ours." The butterfly felt sad and lonely, but he didn’t know how to change. He wanted to be like the others, but his wings were simply different. One day, he decided to leave the forest and look for a place where he wouldn’t feel out of place. After a long journey, the butterfly found a large garden full of flowers in all kinds of colors and shapes. In this garden, every flower was unique. There were yellow roses, purple lavender, red tulips, and even multicolored blossoms. When the butterfly landed in the garden, the flowers asked curiously why he looked so sad. "I’m different from the other butterflies in the forest," he said." They laugh at me because my wings don’t have just one color but many. I don’t know what to do to fit in."The flowers smiled, and one of them said:" We think your wings are beautiful! Your colors make you unique and special. In this garden, there’s no room for anyone to feel inferior.Here we welcome everyone, no matter what they look like or who they are. You don’t need to change to be loved." The butterfly immediately felt much better. He began to realize that being different was exactly what made him beautiful. When he returned to the forest, the other butterflies saw his colors in a whole new way. They understood that it was the diversity that made the forest so special. Diversity is something to cherish, not to judge.
