The teacher looked around the circle of animals in the classroom. "Today we are wrapping up a very special lesson series together," she said. "For 25 days, we’ve listened to stories full of wisdom from each of you." She smiled. "And now, I’d like to hear from each of you: What have you learned?"
The donkey wiggled his long ears and said: "I’ve learned that helping others makes you happy."
The lion rumbled softly and said: "I’ve learned that sometimes courage means standing up for someone else."
The goldfish bubbled from his bowl: "Don’t forget to listen, even when you have to be quiet. Everyone deserves to be heard."
The owl nodded slowly and spoke: "I’ve learned that it’s important to think before you act."
The frog hopped up and shouted: "I’ve learned that cheerfulness is contagious."
The mouse squeaked shyly: "I’ve learned that even little ones can have big ideas."
The flamingo spread his pink wings: "I’ve learned that being different is something special."
The rooster crowed happily: "I’ve learned that a cheerful morning makes everyone happy."
The turtle nodded thoughtfully: "I’ve learned that calmness and patience help."
The butterfly fluttered gracefully: "I’ve learned that small gestures can mean a lot."
The peacock turned proudly in a circle: "I’ve learned that you can be proud of yourself without boasting."
The cat purred contentedly:"I’ve learned that gentleness and kindness make the world a better place."
The teacher nodded and looked around the circle with pride. "You’ve all learned so much," she said. "And do you know what I’ve learned? That together you are the most wonderful class anyone could wish for." The animals looked at each other and smiled. They knew: together they were strong, and together they had learned what makes a truly beautiful group. And so the lesson ended, with a circle of wise animals and a warm feeling in every heart.
Food for thought
Everyone in a group is different, but everyone has something important to contribute. What can you do to help everyone feel good? Do you listen, do you help, are you kind?Together we learn the most each in our own way.
